Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman has been a gymnast in the U.S. for over ten decades. She was part as captain for the US Olympic Female Gymnastics Women's Team, Fierce Five (2012) and Final Five (2016). At the 2012 Olympics she was awarded gold in both floor for the team and in individual events. The bronze medal was awarded by using the balance bar. This meant that she was the very first American in the Olympics who had the most medal count. In 2016, the Olympics included her winning a gold at the team event. This earned her and Gabby the honor of being the first Americans ever to win consecutive gold medals for a team. Additionally, she took home two silver medals in the floor exercise as well as an individual all-around. The break was for three years between the two Olympics from gymnastics competition. In addition she was a part of two gold-winning American team in gymnastics. Her favorite event is the flooring exercise. Gymnastics was her first sport she began to learn when she was two years young. Aly gives towards the Uniting Against Lung Cancer charity to honor her late grandmother. She hopes to build a successful career in fashion. Her signature leotards along with socks and other garments will be expanded to include other items in the future. Fierce is a new book she will release later this year.
